About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team and play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our cloud-based products. This individual will be responsible for driving automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems while collaborating closely with development, security, and operations teams. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in modern cloud platforms and a passion for optimizing and automating workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned federal customers, building trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess satisfaction, identify growth opportunities, and ensure alignment between their mission objectives and our solutions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders while maintaining credibility with technical teams

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure in AWS or GCP for customer environments
  • Lead architecture discussions with customers to recommend solutions that meet their specific security, compliance, and operational requirements

Automation & CI/CD

  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Atlassian, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar
  • Guide customers through adoption of DevOps best practices, helping them mature their deployment and delivery capabilities

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Implement observability frameworks (metrics, logs, tracing) and drive incident response practices to ensure high availability of services
  • Proactively monitor customer environments to identify potential issues before they impact operations, and lead incident resolution when escalations occur

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
  • Develop reusable templates and documentation that enable customers to maintain and extend their environments

Security & Compliance

  • Partner with security teams to enforce best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD IL4/IL5)
  • Support customers through compliance audits and accreditation processes, providing technical documentation and remediation guidance

Collaboration & Advocacy

  • Work closely with product engineers to improve deployment practices, resolve issues, and accelerate delivery cycles
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, channeling feedback to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources (engineering, support, professional services) to deliver successful customer outcomes

Performance Optimization

  • Proactively analyze system performance and optimize resources to improve speed, resilience, and cost-efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for customers to expand their use of UberEther solutions, driving account growth and retention

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineer
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer, or similar)
  • Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and hands-on experience deploying and managing production workloads
  • Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/GKE)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture in cloud environments
  • Proven track record of building scalable, resilient infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience managing customer accounts with a focus on satisfaction, retention, and growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government customers and understanding of federal procurement and compliance requirements
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud strategies
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog)
  • Exposure to regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) and compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, CMMC, and StateRAMP
