About UberEther
UberEther is a small business federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) systems integrator and independent software vendor. We deliver secure, modern identity solutions to federal civilian and Department of Defense customers, including FedRAMP High and IL5 platforms and automation products that help agencies adopt Zero Trust.
Position Summary
The Associate ICAM Analyst supports UberEther's identity delivery and customer teams by attending customer, partner, and internal meetings, capturing clear and accurate notes, and tracking action items through completion. The role gives someone early in their identity career hands-on exposure to federal ICAM programs, technical architecture discussions, and customer engagements, with a path toward a technical or consulting track.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer working sessions, technical meetings, status reviews, and internal standups, and produce timely, well-organized meeting notes.
- Capture decisions, action items, owners, due dates, risks, and open questions, and distribute summaries to stakeholders, typically within one business day.
- Maintain action item and decision logs, and follow up with owners to keep items moving.
- Understand and accurately record ICAM terminology and concepts (such as SSO, MFA, PIV/CAC, federation, provisioning, RBAC/ABAC, and Zero Trust) so notes are technically correct.
- Support program and project managers with meeting agendas, scheduling, status reports, and briefing materials.
- Help maintain project documentation, including runbooks, customer-facing summaries, and knowledge base content.
- Assist the delivery and customer success teams with research, requirements gathering, and documentation reviews.
- Handle sensitive and controlled information in line with customer and company security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience in ICAM, IAM, cybersecurity, or IT support. Internships, lab work, and academic projects count.
- Foundational understanding of identity and access management concepts such as authentication, authorization, directory services, and single sign-on.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to summarize technical discussions clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, collaboration tools (Slack, Teams), and project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to work onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, as required by the customer.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with federal ICAM frameworks and guidance, such as FICAM, NIST SP 800-63, NIST SP 800-53, OMB M-22-09, or DoD Zero Trust.
- Exposure to identity platforms such as Ping Identity, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, or Saviynt.
- Experience in a federal contracting or consulting environment.
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, ISC2 CC, or a vendor identity certification. Security+ is often required for DoD work under DoD 8140.
What Success Looks Like
- Stakeholders rely on your notes as the record of what was decided and who owns what.
- Action items are tracked and closed on schedule.
- Within 6 to 12 months, you contribute to technical discussions and take on documentation or analysis tasks beyond note-taking.
